The Real Meaning of Easter for You!
You have heard of the Easter season, but what is it really all about?
Is it just another Holiday season?
Or Does it have greater significance and meaning for you?
Let’s explore what the true meaning is and what it means for you.
What does Easter mean to You?
What are you doing for Easter this holiday season?
Is this a crazy time of packing to go away on a Camping trip or a Beach relaxing weekend?
Are you just having time off work or maybe dreading catching up with the family again? Are you staying home or traveling to be with Family and Friends?
How do you cope with this season? Do you get stressed out at the last minute trying to figure out what to do or where to go to? It seems so artificial and so commercialized with Easter eggs and Hot crossed buns being in the stores months before the big day.
For so many people, life continues pretty much as usual, but for many others around the world, this is a very special time. Also for many people, it is a sad time as they are not comfortable being around others or have no special friends to spend time with.
For Christians it is the anniversary of the Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. His teachings form the basis for right living and the Freedom from Punishment for the mistakes we made living here.
How do you celebrate this season? Do you experience any happiness at all?
Do you celebrate by eating a Special lunch with family and friends, or are you a Christian that celebrates by going to church as well?
Is Easter just another Holiday or more?
Origins of Easter
Easter has it’s symbolism in the early start of Spring with the new birth and growth of Plants and Trees in the Northern Hemisphere. After the Equinox ( ie. Equal days and nights ) on March 21st, it is fitting Christians Celebrate Jesus Death and New Life in the Resurrection at this time as well.
Some of Jesus’ followers saw him alive after his death and these experiences gave birth to the Christian religion. As Jesus died during the Jewish Passover festival, his followers believed he was resurrected from the dead three days later, so it was logical to commemorate these events in close proximity.

It appears that Christians took over the name of Easter from an early pagan celebration of a goddess in England called ‘Eostre,’ who was celebrated at the beginning of the Spring season. Now Christians use this time to celebrate what is known as the festival of ‘Jesus Resurrection.’
Easter is now celebrated on the first Sunday after the first full moon of the vernal equinox.

What if I said the significance of this Easter celebration could change your life, would you want to know more?
The Reason Why Easter is so Important!
To understand why this is so important and why Christians make so much fuss about Jesus death on a cross we need to go back to one simple thing in our life and in this world.

The fact is there are Bad People and Bad Actions going on in this world all the time. Christians call this SIN which means being separated from God.
You will notice so much Pain and Suffering going on from Starvation, Natural Disasters, Crime, Drugs, Human Trafficking, Fraud and Money Laundering, Debt and Interest, Disease and Illness, Government Rules and Regulations and so much more.
When God made this world he designed it perfect with no Bad stuff. He created Adam and Eve perfect as well, but something big happened. Adam and Eve were tempted by a bad Evil Spirit, called Satan, into believing they could be God like if they ate the Apples from a certain Tree, which God had forbidden to eat from.
God had set up the rules of life knowing what would keep us happy and enjoying life without any Pain.
When Adam and Eve broke God’s rule there were consequences and a price to be paid. Eternal death was the penalty. This seems very harsh for eating an Apple or two, but the fact is this was us separating ourselves from God’s presence by going our own way. We decided we knew what is best for life and hence Pain started in life.
We unplugged ourselves from the healing power of God and started to run flat like a battery and we experienced being half dead.
So by making wrong choices in life we can end up going in a direction away from Jesus and God which only leads to Eternal separation in a place called Hell. There are only two roads we can take in life, even though many want another choice. So choose wisely which one you want to travel on as they have different destinations.
In light of the fact that so many people turned their back on God and because God loves us so much, he decided to give us a second chance. He came up with a plan and a way for us to come back into a relationship with him and live with him in heaven forever again.

How did he do this? What is his plan? He provided a bridge, a way to walk over from Our World to Heaven before it is too late and the bridge is removed as a choice. It will not be there forever, but until we die or the end of the world happens. What it means for you is to take stock of your life. Do you want to be happy forever by following Jesus way or do you want to continue to live as you please? When you find out at your death or the end of the world, that the bridge is now removed, you are stuck in Hell forever with pain, suffering and no relief.
Does that surprise you?
This Easter Message is Changing Lives right Now?
What if I said the significance of this celebration could change your life. A happy and contented life comes from right choices and right actions. Right Actions come from right Thoughts leading to right Feelings that change your Beliefs. So it is really important to have learned the truth about Easter and what it means for you.
The Easter message is one of hope and purpose for your life that brings joy, thankfulness and Freedom. If you were more happy, had a sense of meaning and purpose, would that make a real difference in your life, do you think?
Easter takes on much more significance and meaning when you realize that Jesus died for a reason to love and care for you and give you a second chance. A chance to travel the road back to eternal life. A chance to plug back into his life-changing power and charge your dead battery back up again.
How do you find out if this Easter story is true or not? You need to seek out the truth. You need to put in effort and research and look at all the evidence, not just sit back and say ‘She’ll be right.’ There is a price to pay whether you like it or not. Ignorance is not an excuse, as it usually results in pain. If there are only two choices of where we will end up when we die, wouldn’t it be worth the effort to make sure we end up in the right place.
Part of your Truth search is looking in the Book of Truths – God’s word the Bible.
The Story of Easter is written in the Bible book of Mark in chapters 15 and 16.
There are 6 parts to this Story –
Jesus Meal with his Disciples at the Passover ( a Remembrance of Jews leaving Egypt )
Jesus Arrest in the Garden of Gethsemane
Jesus is Tried and Beaten
Jesus Death by Crucifixion on a Cross
Jesus Burial in a Garden Tomb
Jesus Resurrection back to Life again
The Joy of knowing Jesus Paid the Price and died on our behalf giving us Life again equals true happiness.
For those of us that are Christians, this time of year is one of joy and celebration as we are reminded that Jesus put down a bridge for us to walk over and this plan all started when he set us Free at Easter. All wrongdoing separates us from God and requires a price to be paid in order to restore us to normal like our court system.
We either need to pay a fine or go to jail for a time in order to pay for our wrongdoing. So too with God’s Law, if we break it doing something wrong, we have to pay a price or we end up in Hell forever. The plan was that Jesus would pay the price for everyone’s wrongdoing and die on a cross, so we didn’t have to suffer and go to Hell. The cross effectively became a bridge we could use to walk over, to get a second chance of getting into Heaven.
